A New Chapter Begins…
Hi, I’m Linda—Florida is home, and the Sunshine State has shaped much of my journey. I’ve been blogging for years, beginning with a simple goal: to share home-cooked recipes with friends and family. That small idea quickly blossomed into something much bigger.
My first blog grew beyond my expectations, but as technology evolved, the old platform couldn’t keep up. That’s when I launched a new site, Poinsettia Drive—a fresh space that combined my love of cooking with a curiosity for other lifestyle topics. It resonated, drawing over a million views.
But life has shifted again. Over the past year, my husband and I have started a brand-new chapter—building a new home, making a big move, and embracing a slower, more intentional lifestyle. With that shift came the feeling that it was time for a fresh start online as well.
The Story Behind the Name “Little Cypress Lodge”
The name holds deep personal meaning to me. Growing up I spent a lot of time at my grandfathers fishing lodge. It holds many wonderful childhood memories. The name of the family fishing lodge was Cypress Lodge.
At the new home, we were planning out the landscaping and garden path. Remembering the one at the lodge I wanted to incorporate it into our garden. Then it dawned on me that it is also a very Southern thing to name your home. Well hands down, Little Cypress Lodge was picked. Honoring and remembering my grandfather and the memories he built for us.
So let me welcome you to Little Cypress Lodge. I am so happy that you are here. Please be patient as I grow this blog. I promise to fill it with lots of goodies. Love, Linda
