Hello Sweet Friends!
Ever feel like life is moving in fast-forward?
That’s exactly how July felt for me.
We had some major work done inside our current home, which took about two weeks. Seeing the “before and after” was incredible—but also completely exhausting, just like the image above (if you know, you know!).
During that time, we stayed in our newly built home—what a blessing! We spent those two weeks unpacking, organizing, and slowly settling in. Just when we started feeling at home, it was time to return—and the whirlwind picked back up again.
The contractor did a great job and even cleaned up afterward, but a deep clean was still needed before we could move our furniture back in. So each evening after work, I tackled one room at a time—cleaning from top to bottom. Somewhere along the way, I got something in my eye and ended up with an eye infection. That week took a toll on me physically and mentally.
Now, the house is sparkling and beautiful—though it feels a bit empty since we’ve moved most of our furniture to the new place. Still, it has a warm, cozy feel.
Next on the horizon? Deciding when the right time is for my husband and me to retire and make our move to the new home permanent. It’s about three hours away and closer to family, which makes it even more appealing.
As someone who leans on faith, I trust that God will put it on our hearts when the time is right. Until then, we’re practicing patience and praying for the family that God is preparing to make this house their new home.
Christmas in July. QVC you got me hooked.

I recently purchased this Vintage Inspired Crackle Pitcher. I love the look. It definitely will be the center of attention when serving drinks.
